Biography

Ruben Jimenez Pascual is a seasoned professional with more than three decades of experience spanning journalism, diplomacy, public service, business leadership, and management consulting. A graduate of Economics from the University of the Philippines Diliman, he has built an exceptional career as an award-winning business journalist, Agricultural Attaché to the European Union and the United States, former Chief Operating Officer of the Philippine Exporters Confederation (PHILEXPORT), and Chief of Staff to members of the Philippine Senate and House of Representatives. In 1996, Mr. Pascual founded RJP Consulting, a firm specializing in economic and public policy research, organizational development, strategic planning, political management, communications, media relations, and investment advisory services. Through his firm, he has provided expert guidance to government institutions, private corporations, and socio-civic organizations, helping them strengthen governance, organizational performance, and policy implementation. Throughout his consulting career, Mr. Pascual has worked with leading international development organizations, including USAID, CIDA, AusAid, and the World Bank, as well as numerous Philippine government departments and agencies. His expertise has also been sought by private companies across various industries, including agribusiness, telecommunications, power, shipping, steel, information technology, and export enterprises, in addition to local government units nationwide. Today, Mr. Pascual serves as the Secretary-General of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the country's largest and most influential business organization. In this role, he helps oversee a vast network of direct members, local chapters, international bilateral business councils, and industry associations, continuing his lifelong commitment to advancing Philippine business, fostering economic development, and strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors.
