Biography

Ms. Alegria "Bing" Sibal-Limjoco is widely acknowledged as the “Mother of Philippine franchising” and stands as one of the most influential leaders in the nation's retail and business sectors. She made history as the first Filipino and Asian to earn the title of Certified Franchise Executive, later serving as a multi-term President and Chairman of the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) and global representative to the World Franchise Council. In December 2017, she was elected as the second woman President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), where she championed MSME growth and education-to-employment pathways. Beyond her institutional leadership, she is the Chairman of the Phoenix Group of Companies and Executive Vice Chairman of Francorp Philippines. An educator and mentor, she has taught retail and franchise management at institutions such as De La Salle University, the Ateneo Business School, and the University of Asia and the Pacific. Her pioneering contributions have earned her top global and local accolades, including the international IWEC Award, Go Negosyo's Filipina Starpreneur distinction, and the PFA Woman Icon of Franchising.

  • Mother of Philippine Franchising: Widely recognized as one of the most prominent names in the Philippine franchising sector and the first Filipino and first Asian to earn the Certified Franchise Executive title.
  • Philippine Franchise Association (PFA): Served as two-termer President (1997–2004) and Chairman (2004–2008). Spearheaded the first Philippine hosting of Asia’s biggest franchise event, “Franchise Asia 2011” (as well as Franchise Asia 2001), re-affirming the country's global position.
  • Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI): Elected in December 2017 as the second woman to hold the position of President of PCCI (2018–2019). Focused heavily on MSME development and K-12 internship initiatives.
  • International Franchise Corporation (FRANCORP): Served as Executive Vice President (1996–2006) and Chief Executive Officer (2006–2018). Led the company to win International Master Franchise of the Year twice at the Franchise Excellence Awards (2018 and 2019).
  • Major Awards: Recipient of Go Negosyo’s “Filipina Starpreneurs”, PFA’s “Woman Icon of Franchising” Award (2015), the International Women Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) Award of New York (2017), the Teresa Award from St. Theresa’s College (2018), and the Rotary Club of Quezon City's Golden Wheel Award (2018).
