PCCI JOINS MOU SIGNING FOR DOST iHUBS TO STRENTHEN THE PHILIPPINE STARTUP ECOSYSTEM

Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry proudly participated in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the DOST Western Visayas Innovation Hubs (iHubs), marking a significant step toward strengthening the Philippine startup ecosystem through greater collaboration among innovation enablers, industry partners, and ecosystem builders.

Representing PCCI National President Ferdinand Ferrer, PCCI Region 6 Regional Governor Engr. Fulbert C. Woo signed the MOU on behalf of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Joining him as signatories were Engr. Sancho A. Mabborang, Undersecretary for Regional Operations, DOST; Mr. Lucrecio D. Delgado, Jr. Country Lead of the Wadhwani Foundation; Mr. Dominique De Leon, Executive Director of DEVCON Philippines, Inc.; Engr. Ronezza Delos Santos, Managing Director of Leave a Nest Philippines Inc.,; and Mr. John Jester Tesoro, Vice President of the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP).

The partnership establishes a framework for collaboration in advancing DOST Innovation Hubs (iHubs) through programs that promote innovation, entrepreneurship, technopreneurship, technology commercialization, startup development, digital talent, mentoring, industry linkages, investment readiness, and ecosystem-building initiatives.

PCCI Region 6 extends its warmest congratulations to DOST Region VI Regional Director Engr. Rowen R. Gelonga, CESO II, and the entire DOST Region VI Team for spearheading this milestone initiative. Your leadership and commitment to fostering innovation continue to create meaningful opportunities for startups, entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and the business community across Western Visayas.
