With over 15 years in the energy sector, Mr. Alcantara has led the diversification of Alsons Powerโ€™s portfolio into solar and hydroelectric, supplying electricity to 8M+ people across Mindanao. In addition, he has significantly contributed to Alsons Powerโ€™s efforts in addressing the Mindanao energy shortages from 2010-2012 and was responsible for the acquisition and revitalization of a 103 MW diesel power plant in Iligan, now owned by a subsidiary, Mapalad Power Corporation.
