Organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, today’s lecture forum “Breaking the cycle: Path Dependence and the Future of the Philippines Business” is taking place at the BA Securities Hall, PCCI, bringing together local chamber members, stakeholders, business organizations, managements, students, and media making the total of 45 attendees for an in depth discussion on a structural challenges shaping the Philippine economy.

Led by a renowed Political Economist, BusinessWorld Columnist, Vice-Chairman of the Legislative Committee and Public Policy advocate, Calixto V. Chikiamco, the forum examines dismantling legacy capitalism and rent-seeking structures that hinder entrepreneurship, understanding the geopolitical and historical roots of recurring economic crises, and examining the factors behind the Philippines decline relative to its Asian counterparts.
