ICYMI: PCCI Pres. Consul Enunina V. Mangio delivers her message at the 2nd Philippine Pharma &amp; Healthcare International Expo held yesterday at SMX Convention Center, Manila.
In her speech, Pres. Mangio emphasized the important role played by the pharmaceutical, medical device, and healthcare sectors to the country’s development and public health security, stating that the PCCI will continue to advocate for policies that create an enabling environment for healthcare investments and innovations. These include the provision of the appropriate regulatory frameworks, intellectual property protection, and incentives for research and development. It likewise extends to initiatives to strengthen linkages with local businesses and international partners in the healthcare ecosystem as well as a focus on the development of human capital for the healthcare industry and the promotion of public-private partnerships that address healthcare challenges while creating business opportunities.
The expo was attended by the Indian Ambassador to the Philippines H.E. Shri Harsh Kumar Jain, DOH Secretary Teodoro Herbosa, ARTA Secretary Ernesto V. Perez, FDA Director General Dr. Samuel A. Zacate, Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano and Mr. Johnny Chotrani, Philippines-India Business Council Chair, ASEAN India Economic Council Co Chair, and Member of the Advisory Board of Philippine Pharma and Healthcare Expo.
