The PCCI South Luzon, headed by AVP Sallie C. Lacson, successfully convened its Area Meeting at the New World Saigon Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City, gathering Local Chambers and Regional Governors from CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and the Bicol Region under the theme "From Local Impact to Regional Progress: Chambers Leading the Way."
This strategic meeting served as a vital platform to report chamber accomplishments, review initiatives that empower local economies, and align regional efforts toward building resilience, advancing policy advocacy, and strengthening partnerships with government and private stakeholders. It also fostered synergy among chambers in addressing common challenges and opportunities for growth.
Present at the meeting was Consul General Le Thi Phung as a Guest Speaker, who shared her valuable perspectives on enhancing business collaboration between the Philippines and Vietnam, highlighting opportunities for stronger trade, investment, and regional cooperation.

Last April 14, 2025, the Philippine government through the Departments of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and Education (DepEd) in partnership with private companies has been able to provide digital capabilities to Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs).
In Cebu, internet connectivity was installed in remote schools, tablets were given to one hundred underserved students, and teachers gained free digital upskilling.
This is just one of the many milestones that we will witness in the next few years as we focus our efforts toward digital transformation.

ICYMI: Day 2 in Vietnam offered a productive and informative experience for the delegation, combining strategic learning and practical exposure crucial for successful business engagements in Vietnam.
The morning featured a detailed briefing covering the current macroeconomic landscape, evolving tax regulations, and best practices for establishing and managing outsourced operations within Vietnam’s dynamic business environment. This continued into a luncheon at the Michelin-starred restaurant Madame Lam, where participants had the opportunity to engage further in discussions.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited the TRA-SAS Warehouse, where they observed first-hand the facility’s advanced logistics and operational processes, gaining deeper insight into efficient supply chain management in the region.

Alegria Limjoco, and Membership Committee Chair Socorro Bautista attends the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) Presidential Visit on September 1, 2025, and the World Chambers Congress from September 2 to 4, 2025, in Melbourne, Australia to further strengthen regional and international ties.
?During said visit, the PCCI delegation engaged in high-level networking with CACCI member chambers, key government officials, and senior chamber officers from regional and international organizations to promote bilateral and regional economic collaboration.
Pres. Mangio? also extended an invitation to both CACCI and the World Chambers Congress delegates to attend the 40th CACCI Conference, which the PCCI will be proudly hosting next year.

PCCI Officers Attend Presidential Visit in Melbourne and World Chamber Congress

Safely landed in Ho Chi Minh City: A delegation of 95 industry leaders and entrepreneurs has arrived to take part in the Vietnam Trade Mission 2025, an initiative proudly organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) in partnership with the Philippines-Vietnam Business Council.
This mission aims to strengthen trade relations, explore new business ventures, and foster deeper economic cooperation between the Philippines and Vietnam, paving the way for sustained growth and collaboration.
The delegation is also one with the people of Vietnam in the celebration of their 80th National Day Anniversary.

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), kicks off the Innovation Bridge Platform 2025 Consultation Workshop with the theme “Research That Works. Innovation That Pays.” The workshop aims to create a transformative ecosystem where DOST’s research excellence connects with PCCI’s market intelligence, ensuring that science, technology, and innovation (STI) initiatives directly address business needs and drive competitiveness.
Today’s session is part of a series of weekly consultative workshops covering five key industry clusters: (1) Food Processing Excellence and Specialty Commodities; (2) Natural Fiber and Marine Resources; (3) Sustainable Materials Innovation; (4) Metal Industries Advancement and Advanced Manufacturing and Electronics; and (5) Communications and Media Technology. These efforts will culminate in the Innovation Roadmap Summit on October 24, 2025.
Key officials present today include Dr. Napoleon K. Juanillo, Jr., DOST Assistant Secretary for Technology Transfer, Communications, and Commercialization; Engr. Ramon Escueta, PCCI Chairman for Innovation, Science &amp; Technology and the SME Committee; and Mr. Ruben J. Pascual, PCCI Secretary-General.

Day 2 afternoon sessions of the 34th MinBizCon featured critical discussions on international business synergy and key economic sectors.
The afternoon commenced with "Bridging Borders: International Solidarity and Business Synergy in Mindanao" featuring solidarity messages from the Ambassador of Pakistan to the Philippines H.E. Dr. Asima Rabbani and the Consul General of Indonesia in Davao Mr. Agus Trenggono. The panel discussion brought together trade commissioners from the Embassy of Canada and the Indonesian Consulate General as well as representatives from European, Canadian, Japanese, and American chambers of commerce in Mindanao.
Agriculture took center stage with industry leaders from Alsons Aquaculture and the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines sharing insights on modern agricultural practices and cooperative development in the region.
The halal industry spotlight, on the other hand, featured the Mindanao Halal Authority discussing opportunities for Mindanao businesses, while the Development Bank of the Philippines outlined financial support mechanisms for halal enterprises.
The Tagum CCI also formalized its partnership with the PCCI-Makati to promote the halal industry, recognizing its growing potential as a driver of trade, tourism, and inclusive economic opportunities.
Renewable energy discussions rounded up the afternoon with the Department of Energy, Renewable Energy Management Bureau (REMB), and Davao Light and Power Company exploring sustainable energy solutions for Mindanao's future development.

The 34th Mindanao Business Conference (MiniBizCon) 2025 is now officially open following a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony in Tagum City
PCCI Vice President for Regional Affairs and Membership, and Director for SDGs Ma. Alegria Sibal-Limjoco, PCCI Regional Governor for Southeastern Mindanao Nenita Malbas, and Tagum City CCI President Sean Gellangarin led the ceremonies, marking the start of this milestone event.

MiniBizCon 2025 Kicks Off with Ribbon-Cutting and Colorful Trade Exhibit in Tagum City

The 34th Mindanao Business Conference starts today at Big 8 Corporate Hotel in Tagum City with the Chamber Development Workshop. PCCI Pres. Consul Enunina V. Mangio delivered a special video message to participants, followed by Ms. Ma. Alegria Sibal-Limjoco, PCCI Vice President for Regional Affairs and Membership and Director for SDGs, who opened discussions on strengthening business networks across the region. Ms. Annie O. Ty, Vice Chair of the PhilCDI, provided the workshop overview.
Chamber leaders from across Mindanao learned how to better support local businesses through PhilCDI Chairman Dr. Alberto P. Fenix, Jr.'s insights on maximizing the impact of local chambers of commerce. His session focused on practical strategies that chambers can use to drive economic growth in their communities.
PCCI Secretary General Ruben J. Pascual shared how Mindanao businesses can tap into international markets through the PCCI's global partnerships and business councils. The discussions covered real opportunities for MSMEs to expand beyond local markets and build partnerships that create jobs and investment in the region.
