The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, Japan (SMRJ) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on July 7, 2025 during the PCCI-Philippines-Japan Business Council (PCCI-PJBC) Business Mission to Japan, with PCCI Pres. Consul Enunina V. Mangio and SMRJ Chairman and CEO Tadashi Miyagawa as signatories.
This partnership seeks to promote collaboration between Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and startups in both countries through various business promotion activities such as business matching, seminars, and exchange programs for delegations.
By partnering with SMRJ, PCCI members will have an excellent opportunity to access Japanese technologies and best practices to enable them to expand their operations and gain wider access to the Japanese market.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Mr. Ferdinand A. Ferrer, PCCI Executive Vice President; Mr. Jude G. Aguilar, Vice President for International Affairs; Mr. Arturo C. Guerrero III, Director for Labor and Employment Services; Hernando Delizo, Area Vice President for the National Capital Region; Mr. Ramon D. Escueta, Chairman of the Philippines-Japan Business Council; Mr. Edwin Moran, Co-chairman of Philippines-US Business Council; and Mr. Edwin R. Glindro, Chief-of-Staff.
