North Luzon Chambers submit resolutions to facilitate business recovery
The twenty-one (21) local chambers of North Luzon under the Cordillera Administrative Region, Regions I, II and III submitted a list of their resolutions during the 29th North Luzon Area Business Conference. The Resolutions are geared toward business recovery, resilience and sustainability amidst the Corona Virus pandemic and the promotion of enterprise competitiveness.
The Resolutions called on the Philippine government to provide fiscal and non-fiscal support to assist businesses in distress and stimulate economic activity. The resolutions also called on the government to craft a clear roadmap for businesses under the “new normal” as it undertakes the vital task of balancing public health and economic recovery.
Specifically, the Resolution called on the government to introduce more flexible loans to MSMEs so they can jump-start the business and are able to recover from the loses acquired during the quarantine period. They have also called on the Inter-Agency Task Force on Infectious Disease and the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) to ensure minimum face to face transactions in government agencies through the enhanced computerization and digitization of government transactions and ease of doing business.
