The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), together with the Philippines–Canada Business Council, led a trade mission to Vancouver, Canada, from July 1–4, 2026, held alongside the official visit of H.E. President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

The Philippine business delegation engaged with Canadian companies through business meetings and business forums focused on expanding trade, investment opportunities, and economic partnerships between the two countries.

A significant milestone of the mission was the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between PCCI and the Business Council of Canada, witnessed by President Marcos.

The agreement underscores the shared commitment of both organizations to fostering stronger bilateral economic cooperation and developing greater trade and business relations between the Philippines and Canada.

The MOU was signed by Dr. Sergio R. Ortiz-Luis, Jr., Chairman Emeritus, Treasurer, and Senior Adviser for International Affairs of PCCI, and Mr. Goldy Hyder, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Business Council of Canada, representing their respective organizations.

This partnership marks another step forward in building stronger connections between the Philippine and Canadian business communities and creating new opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and inclusive economic growth.
