The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) honored the country’s brightest student entrepreneurs during the 19th Business Idea and Development Award (BIDA) held at the 51st Philippine Business Conference and Expo on October 21, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
With this year’s theme, "Bridging Eras: Innovating the Past, Transforming the Future," BIDA 2025 celebrated the ingenuity and resilience of young Filipinos whose business ideas blend tradition with technology, and purpose with progress.
PCCI President Consul Enunina V. Mangio, alongside 51st PBC&amp;E Chairman Dennis Anthony Uy, PBC Awards Committee Chair George T. Barcelon, Education Committee Chairman Dr. Eduardo G. Ong and 19th BIDA Chair Dr. Antonio Del Carmen, led the presentation of awards.

• Grand Winner: Misamis University – Vert Dynamics, a plant-based pig feed promoting sustainable and circular farming.
• Second Place: University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines – COWLLAB PH, converts farm by-products into affordable, eco-friendly cattle feed.
Food Category
• Grand Winner: Saint Louis University – Rootini, transforms surplus vegetables into nutritious, upcycled food products.
• Second Place: Central Luzon State University – Tropea's KakaAni Ice Cream, a sustainable, premium ice cream, transforming agricultural by-products.

• Grand Winner: Misamis University – Eir's Touch, a natural wound patch offering an eco-friendly healing alternative.
• Second Place: Technological Institute of the Philippines – Comfortavest, a wearable cooling vest designed for comfort and safety in warm conditions.

• Grand Winner: West Visayas State University – Dungánan, a heritage dining concept combining Ilonggo cuisine with immersive cultural storytelling.
• Second Place: Our Lady of Fatima University – Nueva Ecija – TaraTric, a ride-hailing service in Cabanatuan City for tricycles offering safe and convenient local transport.
Technology Category
• Grand Winner: Capiz State University – CAPSU Smart Hatch Incubator, an IoT-based device that automates and improves poultry hatching efficiency.
• Second Place: Misamis University – Tres Vulgaris, a bamboo-based smart faucet that filters and regulates water sustainably.&nbsp;
The Business Idea and Development Award (BIDA) is an initiative of the PCCI Education Committee that promotes entrepreneurship and innovation among students. It serves as a training ground for future business leaders, providing exposure, mentorship, and opportunities for incubation and investment.
