PCCI Director for Environment and Climate Change Edgardo G. Lacson and Committee Chair Jose P. Leviste, Jr., proudly received the EPR Partnership Leadership Award at the 2026 EPR Recognition Program: Celebrating Achievements and Milestones.
PCCI was cited for its pivotal role in shaping national and multi-sectoral EPR strategies, bringing together government, industry, academe, and civil society to strengthen collaboration and alignment. PCCI was also recognized for its contributions to advancing education and research, strengthening governance and policy coherence, and supporting long-term cultural and institutional change toward the goal of Zero Waste to Nature.
The award was conferred by Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Raphael Lotilla, together with DENR Undersecretary Jonas Leones, Assistant Secretary Jacqueline Caancan, and Philippine Alliance for Recycling and Materials Sustainability (PARMS) President Jesus G. Reyes.
The Zero Waste to Nature Recognition Awards, jointly implemented by the DENR and PARMS, honor leaders, innovators, and partner organizations that have helped build the policies, partnerships, and systems needed to accelerate the Philippines’ transition to a circular economy. The program specifically recognizes Obliged Entities (OEs), Waste Diversion (WD) partners, and other organizations that have demonstrated measurable achievements in plastic waste recovery and systems-level leadership.
Through its sustained engagement and policy advocacy, PCCI continues to play a key role in promoting responsible production, environmental stewardship, and collaborative action across sectors in support of a more sustainable and circular Philippine economy.
