PCCI-NCR set to stage Metro Manila Business Conference PDF Print E-mail

jianchao.jpgThe annual Metro Manila Business Conference (MMBC), a project jointly sponsored by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the Metro Manila Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MMCCI), shall be held on July 30 and 31 at the Hotel Sofitel in Pasay City. 

This year’s event will be hosted by the NCR-South Sector, composed of the city chambers of Las Piñas, Makati, Muntinlupa, Parañaque and Pasay. The MMBC is headed by PCCI Vice President for NCR Antonio C. Keh as Chairman, with Regional Governor for the NCR-South Sector Enrique C. Lim as Vice-Chairman and Conference Director. 

The conference, an annual gathering of the fourteen (14) local chambers in Metro Manila, is held to discuss, in the presence of government officials and prominent members of the business community, issues and concerns affecting business in Metro Manila. Among the expected outputs of the conference are resolutions addressed to government covering a wide range of businessmen’s concerns, to be presented at the PCCI-organized Philippine Business Conference (PBC) sometime in October this year.

QCCCI Hosts Inaugural Health & Wellness Business Stakeholders Forum PDF Print E-mail
qccci.jpgQUEZON CITY Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCCI) President, Dr Hernando B Delizo, is planning when and where in Quezon City will his administration hold before 2008 ends the second Healthcare and Wellness Hub in the Metropolis Business Stakeholders' Forum series after the success of the inaugural forum at Plaza Ibarra, Timog Ave on 28 Oct 2008.

The first forum, emceed by QCCCI Vice Presidents Elma Lagamson and Raffy Chico, was graced by average 50 entrepreneurs many of whom are leading stakeholders of their business blocs. They were led by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) with Ambassador Donald Dee, Metro Manila Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MMCCI) with Tony Keh, Philippine-US Business Council with Enrique Lim, Dept of Health (DOH) with Dr Anthony Calibo, Dept of Trade and Industry (DTI) with Metro provincial director Grace Soller representative, Dept of Tourism (DOT), Makati Touism Foundation with Vinchu Lapid, QC local government with Councilor Dorothy Delarmente, and private medical health, spa, insurance and other healthcare and allied sectors, like Clinica Manila, a bonafide PCCCI member-organization, with Dr Mike Ramos, Renu Gidoomal, Dr Ed Santos of Beverly Hills 6750 et al, and including Eva Kiess and representatives of the Canadian accreditation agency, and foreign journalists. Towards the evening, more than 100 people showed up in the surprise dinner and 'Shindig' fashion show put up by PLDT SME Nation led by Gabby Cui and Jane Calilung that, earlier in the forum, had spread the gospel of transformative technologies for small and medium enterprises.

PC-CCI to hold 2nd Pasay Business Conference PDF Print E-mail
