Phils-USA Econ. and Bus. Council

PCCI created the Philippines-USA Economic and Business Council (formerly known as Philippines-USA Business Club) in July 2003 as a result of the trade mission that it spearheaded in September 2002 in response to the invitation by Hon. Gordon Quan, Mayor Pro Tem, Council Member at Large Position 2 of the City of Houston, Texas.

Through the five-day visit, Philippine delegates gained first-hand market information and access to potential business partners in Houston through market briefing, business matching sessions and industrial tours.

Seeing the numerous business prospects that need to be harnessed by Philippine businesses, PUBC’s main thrust is the aggressive promotion and development of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to the US market in recognition of its very important role as engines of growth of the Philippine economy.

PCCI is optimistic that through PUBC, possible business partnership between the Philippines and the United States could be further deepened.
