BUSINESS SEMINAR

A business awareness seminar was the first activity of the Council to provide crucial information on how to effectively tap the Iranian market. Held on 14 August 2003, the seminar presented Philippines-Iran trade and investment data including market analysis and recommendations on the business prospects in the country.

Participants were oriented by Mr. Yazdan Nadalizadeh, then Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Iran, about market trends and critical industries that would have strong impact on the market such as Food, Information Communication Technology, Pharmaceutical, Construction, Garments and Chemical Industries, among others.

The Philippine-Iran Friendship Society represented by its President, Mr. Nader Saeedi, discussed the business proposals that can be linked between Philippine and Iranian businessmen as well as the major investment areas and attractive packages that they offer for potential investors.

His Excellency Gholamreza Yousefi, then Iranian Ambassador to the Philippines, thanked the attendees for their interest to do business with Iran and expressed his optimism that this seminar would undoubtedly contribute to the development of trade relations between the Philippines and Iran.

He assured the attendees that the Embassy will provide full support to interested businessmen in their queries about doing business with Iran.
