The Philippines-Cambodia Business Council was formally organized last November 14, 2007.

Objectives:

  • Encourage and promote trade, economic, technical cooperation and tourism between the Philippines and Cambodia;
  • Establish a channel of communication in promoting economic and business relations with Cambodia;
  • Foster friendship and understanding between Philippine and Cambodian businessmen;
  • Identify trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.

The Philippines-Cambodia Business Council of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bureau of Export Trade Promotion of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry are pleased to present “Business and Investments Opportunities in Cambodia” – a half day seminar highlighting the economic, investment and trade environment in Cambodia, and the business opportunities available to Philippines companies.

Philippines-Cambodia Business Council: Creating Linkages for Businessmen
The Philippines-Cambodia Business Council (PCBC), under the leadership of Gen. Jose P. Magno (Ret.), Chairman of CITRA Metro Manila Tollways Corporation, is now reactivated and is organizing an outbound trade mission to Cambodia to establish contacts.
With the global financial crisis hitting the world particularly Western countries, the focus of investment and trade shifts to Asian countries.  Cambodia with its abundant forestry, tourism resources as well as industries like garments & textiles is one country of interest. The bilateral trade relations of the Philippines with Cambodia while strong, with exports amounting to $8.55 Million and Imports from Cambodia amounting to $1.01 Million (source: PITC, Dept. of Tourism; 2006), can still be improved.
