The Philippine Banking and Financial system has been perceived to be lagging behind in terms of international benchmarks. There are systemic weaknesses and gaps that need to be addressed to come up with a competitive banking and financial sector. It is on this ground that the PCCI Banking and Finance Committee was created. Its main task is to give substantial outputs on what are the necessary regulations needed for the country to move to a better fiscal position.
