PCCI VP is the new CACCI president PDF Print E-mail
bvy_srilanka2.jpgThe Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI), a regional grouping of national chambers in Asia and the Pacific which the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) is a member of, elected its new set of officers during the 24th edition of its biennial CACCI Conference in Colombo, Sri Lanka on July 5-7, 2010. Benedicto Yujuico, the current Vice President for Energy and Utilities of PCCI, the largest business organization in the country, was elected President and would serve the organization from 2011 to 2012.

According to Yujuico, under his leadership, the CACCI Council would work on activities in the area of policy advocacy, professional development program, membership expansion, relationship with other regional and international organizations, and development of the CACCI Product and Service Councils, among others. He also said that CACCI would work hard in ensuring that it continues to be relevant to its members and to promote the interest of the region’s business sector as a whole, taking into account the current changes and developments in the global and regional markets.

CACCI (Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry) is pleased to invite you to join the CACCI Presidential visits to Turkey (May 27-29) and Georgia (May 29-31).

CACCI is a regional organization of chambers of commerce in the Asia Pacific region composed of thirty (30) primary chambers representing twenty-seven (27) countries. The Philippines represented by PCCI is one of its primary members.

24th CACCI Conference to Address Global and Local Issues PDF Print E-mail

The need to address global and local issues in light of the financial and economic crisis and to help countries in the Asia-Pacific region move forward was the main focus of discussions at the recent meeting of the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Amb. Benedicto Yujuico, CACCI Executive Vice President and representative of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) to the meeting said these issues will be highlighted at the 24th CACCI Conference, which will be held on July 5-7, 2010 in Colombo.
