 The Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI), a regional grouping of national chambers in Asia and the Pacific which the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) is a member of, elected its new set of officers during the 24th edition of its biennial CACCI Conference in Colombo, Sri Lanka on July 5-7, 2010. Benedicto Yujuico, the current Vice President for Energy and Utilities of PCCI, the largest business organization in the country, was elected President and would serve the organization from 2011 to 2012.
According to Yujuico, under his leadership, the CACCI Council would work on activities in the area of policy advocacy, professional development program, membership expansion, relationship with other regional and international organizations, and development of the CACCI Product and Service Councils, among others. He also said that CACCI would work hard in ensuring that it continues to be relevant to its members and to promote the interest of the region’s business sector as a whole, taking into account the current changes and developments in the global and regional markets.
