Welcome to the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry website!
This website is only one of the channels where we convey to you the dynamics of PCCI and where the chamber movement in the Philippines is headed.
In its more than a hundred years, PCCI has evolved into the leading institution and vital partner of government in building the economy and the nation, with the preeminent mandate as the voice of Philippine business.
Under its new leadership, PCCI will be putting more emphasis on the synergy of the business community with government and development partners in addressing critical areas that influence investments and economic development.
Under the banner “PCCI Invest 2012” we will breakdown the critical drivers that influence our ability to attract and expand investments in the Philippines into broad areas of (i) coordination (ii) advocacy and (iii) policy setting or CAPS. Initiatives on CAPS will focus on four key elements of competitiveness under the P.C.C.I. acronym: Power and utilities, Competitiveness, Countryside development and Industrial and trade policy formulation.
With this banner program providing the direction, we aim to mainstream reforms on significant and critical investment drivers that need public-private collaboration. These “dozen drivers” are: (1) agribusiness, (2) business process outsourcing, (3) mining, (4) tourism, (5) home decor and lifestyle, (6) shipbuilding, (7) housing, construction and infrastructure, (8) education, research and development and training, (9) creative industries, (10) electronics, (11) transport equipment, and (12) logistics.
PCCI Invest 2012 will continue to cultivate our rich and longstanding legacy and expertise in economic policy, trade and business services, and public-private partnership mechanisms.
In these exciting times, it is only with a clear vision and direction, a well-coordinated strategy of development stakeholders and a well-governed management can we accomplish much.
I thank you for your continued trust.
