- Details

We would like to once again invite you and your Chamber to join your colleagues from the chamber movement in the region who will be attending the 26th CACCI Conference on October 3-5, 2012 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
To be hosted by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commece and Industry (FNCCI), the Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Kathmandu Hotel (www.hyatt.com)
This year’s gathering will focus on the theme “A Vision for Shared Prosperity”. Eminent speakers will be invited to discuss how Asian governments can work together more closely to sustain economic development, grasp common opportunities, and manage shared risks and problems, as well as exchange views on why businessmen in the region need to rely more on each other to be able to sustain their growth and development. The Conference aims to provide a platform for CACCI members to share their ideas on how they can help their respective countries – and the Asia-Pacific region as a whole - in strengthening and spreading the benefits of regional cooperation while playing a substantial, constructive role in global economic leadership.

Breakout Sessions
This year’s program has also been designed to make our Kathmandu gathering another occasion for members to discuss current business issues and explore possible areas of cooperation.
As in previous years, we are once again organizing break-out sessions on sectors of interest to members. Each of the sessions will feature invited speakers and panelists who will share their views on trends and developments, problems and issues, and prospects for growth in the sectors concerned. There will also be discussions on activities that CACCI members can undertake to further strengthen business ties among themselves.
We would therefore like to encourage you to invite your members representing the sectors on which breakout sessions will be held to join their colleagues from other countries at our Kathmandu Conference.
B2B Meetings
The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) will also arrange one-on-one business matching sessions between CACCI delegates and Nepalese representatives from various industry and services sectors to provide both sides a platform to explore possible opportunities for business, trade, and investments. Kindly inform FNCCI your business interests to enable them to make the necessary arrangements.
MOU Signing
Interested member chambers will also have the opportunity to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with FNCCI and other CACCI members defining possible areas of cooperation. There will be time allocated for MOU signing during the two-day event.
