SME Development
PCCI recognizes the critical role played by the micro, small and medium enterprise sector in the country’s in the country’s economic development. Their role is made more crucial given the global financial meltdown.
The PCCI SME Development Division actively participates in the formulation and implementation of policies and programs, both in the national and regional levels, to improve the capabilities and competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises in the global market. The Divisions places particular emphasis on five key areas:
- access to technology and information
- access to credit and financing
- access to markets
- human resource developments and
- access to market opportunities.

Palawan CCI Pilots Kitchen Incubator for MSMEs
Early this year, the Palawan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Pal CCI) launched the first phase of its PROPEL (Promoting Regional Opportunities for Enterprise and Livelihood Development) project which covers strengthening of business support services; and development of Palawan Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through a shared incubator kitchen facility.

The Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PamCham) in joint collaboration with the Technology and Resource Center (TRC); and the Pampanga Agricultural College (PAC) organized 2-day training on bamboo propagation attended by farmers from the three towns of the province: Magalang, Apalit, and Guagua. The training activity is one of the major components of PAMCHAMs project on Promoting Sustainable Propagation of Bamboo and Development of Products Using Bamboo Materials supported by the PROPEL (Promoting Regional Opportunities for Enterprise and Livelihood Development) program.
